Dietlin Swiss Showcases allows the jewelry industry to present its products with no protective barrier.

The Free Access Bridge offers the possibility of presenting necklaces, rings, bracelets and watches in total security without a protective glass cover.

The company Romanel-sur-Lausanne once again serves up a surprise with its new, patented invention allowing the jewelry industry, like the watchmaking industry, to present its products without a protective glass cover.

In response to the transformation of the luxury products distribution network, Dietlin Swiss Showcases – famous for the Raptor showcase invented for Hublot in 2005 – focuses on “open” showcases offering quick access to the products.

This presentation method is of particular interest to the younger generation, with its pronounced taste for open space, discover-by-yourself and the product experience. (Apple store).

Dietlin Swiss Showcases allows the jewelry industry to present its products with no protective barrier.

In the wake of two patents filed in 2018 and 2019 for free-access presentation systems, the jewelry industry can now present its products without any visible protection, bringing the customer physically closer to the product.

Why install a glass prison?
Glass cases have been used for almost a century to protect products. In all that time, showcases have barely evolved. They create an unwelcome distance between the customer and the product, turning boutiques into bunkers. In a point of sale, the aim is now to reconnect the customer physically with the product.

The new “bridge” system works like staples.
This new system consists of carbon staples which fasten the products and ensure they remain entirely safe. These notched staples are kept under constant pressure by means of mini motors. Combined with an accelerometer which measures vibrations 40x per second, the necklace, ring, bracelet or watch remains entirely safe.

A specific pressure for each product.
This notched system allows the product to be fastened with the right pressure to keep it on its support. An ingenious mini motor allows the staple to be retained millimeter by millimeter. Once pressed, the bridge is held in place definitively until it is opened electronically by the salesperson or customer.

We can never have enough freedom!
The product is released in a matter of seconds by opening the system electronically using a smartphone or RFID badge. In only a few seconds, the visitor can try the product on the case without having to go to a sales counter. Initially, the younger generation prefers quick and relaxed access to the product. Once they have made a decision, customers can discover the collection in a more traditional manner.

In the coming years, this system will transform current points of sale into places of discovery and experience.
It will henceforth be possible to “staple” all products to a wall, a display or a sales counter.

Sismic: The tailor-made alarm by vibration (accelerometer).
Held in place by a “bridge”, necklaces, rings, bracelets or watches are kept safe and under alarm thanks to constant seismic monitoring.
At the slightest tremor, an alarm sounds and the security officer is alerted. The acceptable vibration threshold can be adjusted using a potentiometer. With this option, you can either allow customers to touch the products or prevent any physical contact.

A patent was filed for the free-access “bridge” presentation system in 2021

Xavier Dietlin:
"Everyone talks about experiences... You don’t go to a boutique for a digital experience. Digital technology can be accessed from home. In a boutique, the ultimate experience remains the physical contact with the product. Our systems foster this as simply and directly as possible."
