Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry: Dietlin-Augmented Watch display for Audemars Piguet.
The most important part of the boutique experience is actually trying on a watch. The latest creation from the Vaud-based company - the Augmented Watch concept which, as its name suggests, is inspired by augmented reality - is a step in this direction and enables visitors to explore a watch by means of an iPad that slides over the tirnepiece physically inserted in a niche.
By navigating the app, visitors can slide the iPad to either side of the display, thus moving from exhibition to exploration. The menus enable them to enlarge, rotate, zoom in on the product and return to the physical version on demand. An access code serves to release the timepiece so il can be tried on.
The iPad offers several tunctions il can be used to apply filters to the product placed just below il or to provide a technical description by moving to the side.
