Federation of the Swiss Watch Industry - Free Access C-Ring by Dietlin: THE RÉÉVOLUTION!
Known for having developed several revolutionary display systems such as the Raptor, the first glassless display case with a product that disappears when a hand approaches it, the Romanel-based company has launched a novel watch display system, the Free Access C-ring.
It enables the pieces to be displayed as if they were worn on the wrist in an airy and light way. This so-called "soldier" (upright) position is the most widely used in the watch industry.
Free Access C-ring is revolutionary in many ways. It has no electronics, no magnets that would damage the watch and requires no power to operate. It allows the product to be released in a few seconds using a fingerprint lock. Free of any protective glass, the watches are perfectly exposed yet in an entirely secure way. The buckle of the bracelet is inaccessible, preventing its opening.
The latest in a triptych of watch presentation devices without protective glass designed for the watch industry, Free Access C-Ring is intended to cover all market segments and addresses a more accessible range of products. In 2018, the Free Access Cushion was launched, followed in 2019 by a version equipped with a prism serving to reveal the back of the watch. Several thousand of these first two editions were produced and are used in boutiques around the world.
All the products have been registered with and are protected by the Federal Intellectual Property Office (FIPO) and the European Patents Office (EPO).
