THEWATCHES.TV : BEHIND THE SCENES OF WATCH DISPLAY CASES WITH XAVIER DIETLIN AT BASELWORLD 2016.
Over the last few years, there has been some serious evolution in the world of display windows and what better example then what you can now experience in some museums where there notion on interactivity has become so much more important. It’s not because you are exposing something precious that it necessarily needs to be in some kind of guarded cage and this evolution is slowly coming to watchmaking. But we know that this industry can be quite conservative and until recently it was unconceivable for any brands to have their watches not found behind some kind of window creating by default a barrier between the user, thus the consumer, and the watch itself.
Never the less, we will now show you an example with the Swiss company Dietlin of how some brands are making their display more playful and interactive. Technology helps to go down that route, but it is more a question of a change of mindset by the brands to really embrace what at the end of the day is the most important, meaning customer experience!
And as you probably noticed, we don’t only like to talk about timepieces and brands on TheWATCHES.tv, but we try to give you an extensive coverage of all the different players of this great industry and this includes the many suppliers and other sets of skills not seen elsewhere but on our channel.
