Parachute system: Almost unbreakable showcases!
The "Parachute" system for showcases: The glass cubes generally used for exhibitions are assembled in a single block by UV photo-gluing. That does not give the glass any flexibility so it breaks at the least shock. In the event of breakage, the whole cube has to be changed.
The "Parachute" system makes it possible to make the 4 faces of the cube independent (without joining) while allowing each pane of glass a few millimetres play to absorb the shocks. This play is made possible using mini-springs located around the edges of the pane and which act as shock absorbers. The risks of breakage are thus reduced by 4 (on average). In the event of damage, only the broken faces need to be changed.
The use of laminated glass (2x3mm or 2x5mm) also reinforces the level of security of the showcase. This system has been patented.
